If you are looking to get married in Lake Como, for sure you ran into thousands of photos of weddings at Villa del Balbianello. In fact, through the years this place has been the setting of magnificent events such as weddings, fashion shows and movies.

When guests arrive at its dock, they are amazed by the grandeur of the gardens. Some tiny paths open the road to the famous Loggia, a three-arched space where ceremonies usually take place. This area has a breathtaking overview looking at the alps and the water too.

Dinners are set inside Loggia Segrè for parties up to 60 people or in the Canfora Garden for bigger groups.
With a Villa del Balbianello wedding you can have both a civil and symbolic ceremony, but please note there is no accommodation on site.

VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO WEDDING OPTIONS

If you want to get married at Villa del Balbianello, you have different options available.
You can decide to have only the ceremony, the ceremony plus the aperitif or the complete celebration that includes ceremony, aperitif, dinner and party.
Let’s dive into each one of these options to check the details.

WEDDING CEREMONY AT VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO

If you want to have an intimate ceremony at Villa del Balbianello, is possible to rent the famous Loggia Durini for a maximum of 2 hours.
With a guest count is up to 30 people, you can also get married during the opening hours of the Villa until 6 pm. The staff will close the Loggia for a specific time frame, in order to allow you to enjoy the area in exclusivity for the ceremony. In the meantime, groups of visitors will be around the villa.
If you plan to have more than 30 guests, it’s mandatory to rent the location only when it’s closed to the public: every day after 6 pm or on Mondays and Wednesdays.

WEDDING CEREMONY AND APERITIF

If you want to extend the time you will spend for your wedding at Villa del Balbianello, you can have the ceremony in the Loggia During and the cocktail in the Camphor Garden or in the Loggia Segrè for a maximum of 3 hours.
In this scenario, the only possibility to rent the villa in the opening times is having less than 30 guests.
Please note that the villa doesn’t have an internal catering, and to have the cocktail hour you need to involve a catering who will take care of this.

WEDDING CEREMONY, APERITIF, DINNER AND PARTY

To enjoy at the most the wedding in the magical Villa del Balbianello, a total rental is recommended.
The set up usually considers the ceremony in the Loggia Durini, the cocktail in the garden and the dinner in the Loggia Segrè, but for bigger groups you can have dinner also in the Camphor garden setting up a marquee.
In fact, Loggia Segrè can host up to 70 people seated without other type or arrangements like DJ station or bar counter. If you plan to have more than 50 guests renting a marquee is mandatory to be able to have the party and to have a plan B in case of bad weather.

BUDGET TO HAVE A WEDDING AT VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO

The recommended budget to have a wedding at Villa del Balbianello changes a lot in base on how many people you will have and also on how you decide to set up the day.

In fact, the rental fee change in base of the guests count and in base of the day and time you decide to get married (if in the opening hours or if in the closing time). In general, we recommend to consider a starting budget of € 1.500,00 per guests if you plan to have from 10 to 50 guests.
If you want to invite more than 50 guests, you should consider a starting investment of € 2.000,00 per person.
